Many single storey rear extensions fall under permitted development and do not need full planning permission. We check the rules for your property at the site visit and handle the application if one is needed.
A single storey rear extension typically takes 10 to 14 weeks from breaking ground to handover. Double storey extensions usually take 14 to 20 weeks.
If your extension affects a shared wall or is within three metres of a neighbouring foundation, a Party Wall Notice is usually required. We advise on this and can recommend a surveyor.
